A building conceived as an Ecosystem
Developed across seven floors above ground and one basement level, Urban Campus Living accommodates 246 beds distributed across 196 residential units, within a total gross floor area of 11,200 sqm.
Set within a dense urban context characterised by a strong international presence, the development translates functional and operational requirements into a clear and legible spatial framework.
Its vertical organisation establishes a precise hierarchy between collective and private realms. Lower and intermediate levels accommodate shared spaces and communal functions, while the upper floors are dedicated to residential living.
More than a functional distribution of programmes, this arrangement creates a natural progression between social interaction, study, services and private life, generating continuity across the different dimensions of contemporary living.

Shared spaces as the infrastructure of community
In contemporary student living, shared spaces are not an addition to the project. They are its very core.
The experience begins in the ground-floor lobby, conceived as an open and permeable environment where reception, lounge areas and service functions coexist within a coordinated system. The organisation of space guides movement, facilitates orientation and establishes the identity of the development from the very first moment.
On the first floor, the study floor accommodates approximately 75 workstations distributed across open areas, shared study rooms, quiet zones and individual niches. Distinct yet complementary settings designed to support different modes of learning and concentration, allowing students to choose the environment best suited to their needs.
The second floor is dedicated to the collective dimension of everyday life. Shared kitchens become the focal point of social interaction, around which dining and lounge areas are arranged to encourage gathering, exchange and a sense of belonging. Spaces originally conceived for dining evolve into places of connection, helping to foster a genuine community.
Together, these environments form a true social infrastructure, supporting not only the functional needs of residents, but also the relationships and interactions that define university life.
Residences designed for everyday living
From the third to the sixth floor, the project accommodates four distinct residential typologies:

Each configuration has been carefully developed to address different living requirements while maintaining a coherent design language and a consistent quality of experience.
Bedrooms organise sleeping, study and storage functions through clear and efficient layouts that maximise usability and optimise available space. Within the studios, the introduction of the kitchen expands the level of autonomy, supporting a more independent and self-sufficient way of living.
The variety of solutions allows the development to accommodate different lifestyles and levels of sharing without compromising the overall coherence of the scheme.
Particular attention has been devoted to durability and long-term reliability. In environments characterised by intensive use and frequent resident turnover, quality is measured not only by first impressions, but by the ability of a space to maintain performance, functionality and value over time.
Extending the residential experience
The quality of contemporary student housing is also measured by its ability to support everyday life beyond the private sphere.
Located on the seventh floor, the rooftop introduces an outdoor dimension dedicated to relaxation and social interaction. Seating areas, tables, greenery and a carefully balanced palette of materials and finishes create an environment that encourages gathering and informal exchange, extending the experience of the building beyond its interior spaces.
Even service areas are considered an integral part of the residential experience. Located on the basement level, the laundry is organised according to a clear and efficient operational logic, complemented by a lounge area designed for waiting and informal use.
Regardless of its function, every space contributes to a coherent and recognisable whole, where comfort, practicality and spatial quality coexist within a unified vision.
